Edith Kiertzner Heath (1911 – 2005) was an American studio potter and founder of Heath Ceramics. The company, well known for its mid-century modern ceramic tableware, including "Heathware," and architectural tiles, is still operating in Sausalito, California, after being founded in 1948. Written by Amos Klausner, this book explores the classic California spirit of handcrafted dinnerware and tiles created by pioneering ceramicist Edith Heath over 50 years ago. The past, present & future of Heath are recounted by contemporary luminaries, including chef Alice Waters, Design Within Reach founder Rob Forbes and architect Ron Radziner.
