She was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Greene Raine won a very decisive giant slalom victory in Grenoble, France, in the 1968 Winter Olympics. After being appointed to the Senate in 2009, Greene Raine retired on May 11, 2018, when she reached the mandatory retirement age of 75» (Wikipedia).
