Brian Lalor was born in Ireland and studied art in Ireland (Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork), architecture in England, (Hammersmith), and archaeology in Greece and Israel (American School / Hebrew University). He has pursued an inter-disciplinary career as topographical artist, writer and archaeologist. For many years he has worked as a classical archaeologist in the Middle East, and has written and illustrated many books - principally on Irish subjects. He has exhibited widely in Europe, North America and the Middle East and now lives in Dublin where he lectures on Print History in UCD.
